If you are considering a pharmacy technician career, your duties may include all or any of the following daily tasks:

- Greet patients, accept their prescriptions and verify their data on file is correct
- Prepare prescription bottle labels
- Check medication inventories and order supplies as needed
- Assist the pharmacist with preparing prescriptions, including counting, weighing and pouring medications
- Answer and make phone calls
- Maintain patient records
- Process insurance claim forms
- Assist pharmacists as needed with a variety of important tasks

As a pharmacy technician, you will become a part of the health care industry, which is expected to account for about 22% of all wage and salary jobs added to the economy through 2018 (BLS).
